Through the Voices for Justice (VFJ) Network, participants receive via email information on current legislation that impacts the poor and other vulnerable members of our society. The call to social justice advocacy in VFJ alerts is always supported by Catholic Social Teaching; indeed, many of these alerts originate as notices sent from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Catholic Charities USA. At the state level, the Office of Justice and Peace stays abreast of issues and legislation through reports from the North Carolina Council of Churches and other non-profit organizations. NCCC membership includes the Catholic Dioceses of Charlotte and Raleigh. The Office of Justice and Peace also serves, as needed, as a resource to the Bishop and other diocesan offices on public policy matters.
To join the VFJ network, please send your email address as well as your name, your mailing address, and your phone number to justicepeace@charlottediocese.org. Thank you.
