Celebrating 16 Years of
Service to the Triad

At Host Homes, we work to restore and maintain healthy family relationships and to promote the well-being and safety of children and youth.

Our programs serve young people between the ages of 10 and 17, and their families. We offer individual and family
Counseling to solve problems and to help resolve crises in a positive manner. We provide temporary shelter to youth who are faced with family crisis under the Foster Care of volunteer families.

     We sponsor the
Special Friend mentoring program, matching young people with adult role models; a 24 hour Hot Line, serviced by staff trained to handle crisis calls; Teen Council, involving high school students in their community; and Project Safe Place, enabling young people to find safe harbor when they need it.

We welcome you ... a participant in one of our programs, a volunteer host for one of our youth, a contributor in support our work, a friend ... to Host Homes.

Host Homes Internships Are Available
Host Homes is committed to providing a variety of services to young people and their families. The opportunities for service are truly vast and Host Homes welcomes interested high school and college students who want to give back in service to their community.

At Host Homes, we work with interested students to tailor opportunities to their educational and professional interests, from helping us in the office to creating demographic forms to counseling young people and their families. Please call Host Homes to learn more about our internships.

Host Families Needed
There are young people who need temporary shelter and Host Homes is committed to providing a place for them to stay. Host Homes provides temporary shelter and care for young people aged 10-17 when living arrangements outside their family are appropriate. Care is provided by volunteer, state-licensed, trained families, supported around the clock by the Host Homes staff. If you would like more information on our Foster Care program, please call Host Homes today.

Our next foster care training will be held in October. Please call Host Homes today.

Wanted: Role Models
You can make a difference in the life of a child. Host Homes has several young men and women ages 10-15 who need a positive adult influence in their lives. If you are over 19 years old and able to devote a few hours of quality time each week to one of them, please contact Host Homes today. Host Homes provides training and support for your efforts. Please consider volunteering: Youth in our community need you.
